Toni Arnon – Artist and Graphic Designer,
lives and works in the Lower Galilee, Israel, in a village looking out on Mt. Tabor; she is married to video artist Yohanan Arnon.
Born 1967 in the U.S.A. and raised and educated in Jerusalem, her art tuition began after military service as a draftsman, when she began studying at the studio of Orna Milo
in Jerusalem; following this she took Graphic Design at the Meimad Art School in Tel Aviv.
Present work (2006-2008) - builds and designs sites, instructs drawing and mandala painting.
2004-2005 - Graphic Illustrator for the New Orleans child-education teaching programme “Healthy Lifestyle Choices” developed by the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, USA.
2003 – Resident in Tucson Arizona, working as visuals consultant for the Pacific Institute
for Research and Evaluation, creating images for the “Healthy Lifestyle Choices” child-education project.
2001-2002 - studied ceramics and pottery with local Galilee artist Rika Sina; since then
has worked in ceramics, as well as painting, at her own studio, where she also holds
life-drawing group sessions.
Combining skills in art, craft and graphic design, she conceived, created and developed
the Memoart Board, a commercial erasable memo board with a decorated pen and
magnet, distributed and sold in Israel.
June 2000, with artist Maya Levanon, held an exhibition of painted bone sculptures and
installations at the Tmuna Theater in Tel Aviv.
